Jane Ann Wilson, 81, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 at Adena Fayette Medical Center in Washington C.H.
Just as she lived her life, she left this life with her family by her side and Jesus in her heart. She was born Jan. 23, 1940 in Washington D.C., the daughter of Aaron Day and Martha (Rowland) Neely.
Jane Ann Neely knew hard work from an early age, growing up on an orchard. She found the love of her life in Edgar Donald Wilson in fourth grade. They welcomed three children, the late Michael David Wilson, Patricia Ann (Michael Robert) Meyers and Mark Douglas Wilson (Laura Tennant). They later welcomed six grandchildren, Jessica L. (Justin D.) McNeal, Christina M. (Richard A. III.) Sizemore, Lyndsey N. (Abraham J.) Bluck, Jacob Wilson Meyers (Abigail Hall), Josh Michael (Andrea) Johnson and Elliott “Chip” Wilson (Holly Pummel); stepgrandson, Dorian George; and 15 great-grandchildren; Colton McNeal, Landen McNeal, Boone McNeal, Griffin McNeal, Ellianna Jane Sizemore, Grace Sizemore, Brynlee Sizemore, Richard “Tripp” Sizemore III, Adelyn Bluck, Benjamin Bluck, Elizabeth Bluck, Elijah Johnson, Reese Johnson, Joel Johnson and Rylee Rose Johnson. She was blessed with amazing nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In life, Jane was rarely without a baby on her lap. She was known to many that loved her as simply “Babau,” a name given to her by her first grandchild. She became “Babau” to anyone that needed her to love them.
She was the epitome of living a Christ-centered life. She loved telling people about her Jesus and how loved they were. Anyone that knew her loved her. She loved gardening and talking her flowers into beautiful blooms. She often found beauty in places where most wouldn’t. It is because of her love for life that her loved ones will be having a celebration of her life this Sunday. Anyone who knew her and loved her is welcome to join in celebrating her Jesus day.
Funeral service will be Sunday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at Buckskin Community Church in South Salem with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.
