James S. Wilson, Jr., 66, of Lynchburg, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born Feb. 13, 1952 in New Vienna, son of the late James Stanley and Helen Mozelle (Rhoades) Wilson Sr.
On June 3, 1972 in Wilmington, he married Lora Jeanne Brown Wilson, who survives.
Jim retired as a load limit inspector for the Ohio State Patrol after serving for over 31 years.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his three sons, James S. Wilson III of Wilmington, David Wilson Sr. of Lynchburg and Chip Dillon of Wilmington; daughter, Fawna Wilson of Wilmington; two grandchildren, David Wilson Jr. and Loranda Wilson; four sisters, Gwen McIntire of Lebanon, Lois (Bob) Williams of Wilmington, Wanda Louiso of Hillsboro and Frances (Rick) Purkey of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his nephew, Samuel Purkey.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 16 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Earl Vanscoy officiating. Interment will follow in the New Vienna Green Township Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 15 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
