James Robert Wilson, 68, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born March 4, 1954 in Mesa, Ariz., the son of Robert Ned and Barbara (Ferguson) Wilson.

He was a 1972 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School, a long-time member/trustee of F.O.E. Aerie 1325, and an avid sports fan especially of The Ohio State University.

He retired in 2016 after 40 years of employment as an environmental lab technician.

He is survived by his wife, Cath Oswald Wilson, whom he married Oct. 8, 1982; one son, Matthew Robert Wilson (Nicole Thompson) of Delaware; one granddaughter, Avery Wilson; one sister, Beth Ann Wilson (Jay) Hardy of Greenfield; a nephew, Will Hardy of Columbus; and one step-sister, Barbara Price (Ted) Hendricks of Cincinnati.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ned Wilson; mother, Barbara Wilson Price; aunt, Roseann “Posie” Wilson; and step-father, Winston G. Price.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at F.O.E. Aerie 1325, 1275 N. Washington St., Greenfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church “Blessings in a Bag,” 457 Jefferson St., Greenfield, Ohio 45123.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
