James A. Mulford

James A. Mulford, 77, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2024 at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.  
 He was born Dec. 29, 1946 in Wilmington, the son of the late Joseph Smith and Bertha Mae (Cherryholmes) Mulford. 

On Jan. 9, 1968 in Grundy, Va., he married Katherine Mulford, who passed away on Feb. 20, 2020.
 
James was a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard and a lifetime member of N.R.A.. He was the farm manager at Hagemeyer Farm for 20-plus years then went to work at Warren County Building services as their custodian, where he retired from at 15 years of service.
 
Surviving are his two daughters, Elizabeth (Brian) Louallen of Lebanon and Rebekah (Matt) Robinson of Middletown; a nephew, Joe (Tracy) Carter of Morrow; a brother, Joe (Phyllis) Mulford of Madeira; two sisters, Marilynn Colson of Salem, Ala. and Cheryl (Pete) Carter of Raleigh, N.C.; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
 
In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by his sister, Myra Ann (Otis) Hall; and brother-in-law, John Colson.
 
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street Wilmington, from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. Interment will immediately follow in the Westboro Cemetery, Westboro.
