James Lewis Lauderback, 74, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at Hospice of Cincinnati.

He was born Nov. 6, 1945 in Springfield, the son of Lloyd Dale and Iva Katherine (Days) Lauderback.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from June 1965 to January 1969. On July 4, 1968, he was married to Alice Jeanette Murray in Jackson County, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William Lloyd Lauderback and Russell Eugene Lauderback; and one daughter, Christy Ellen Lauderback.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years; daughter, Amy Catherine Cox and her husband Fred Cox, and their two daughters, Heather Nicole Storer and her husband Austin, and Brittany Lynn Scott and her husband, Robert (Robbie); daughter, Stacy Sue Vance and her children, Victoria Ellen Vance and fiancé, C.J. Roe, and Dakota Vance; one son, Michael Arnie Lauderback and his wife Amanda, and his two stepsons, Landon Stafford and Parker Pierce; two great-granddaughters, Braylee Justice Remy and Addyson Danielle Roe; and two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Elizabeth Beaty and her husband Richard (Dick) Beaty of St. Paris and Janet Sue McNeal of Urbana; one niece and seven nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Wanda (Larry) Salyers and Lois (Emerson) Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25 at Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio, conducted by Emerson Montgomery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and funeral to follow at 1p.m., with burial in Beaver Union Cemetery.
