James “Jim” Adkins Jr., 63, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1958, in Cincinnati, the son of the late James Adkins Sr. and Lilly (Pack) Norman.
Jim met the love of his life, Patricia Anderson Adkins, when he was 15 and they married on Feb. 25, 1978, in Cincinnati. He worked at Cincinnati Sub-Zero for 25 years, Arch Materials Mine in Williamsburg for five years, and Cincinnati Dowel & Wood Products in Mt. Orab for six years. Jim enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing his guitar, woodworking, tinkering in his garage, and most of all he loved spending time with his wife and family. He will be greatly missed.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Adkins; two children, Christine (Phil) Hoeter of Georgetown and William (Amanda) Adkins of Mt. Orab; five grandchildren, Kaiya, Maddie, Ryan, Aubrey and Noah; three siblings, Marshall (Rama) Norman, Ernie (Judy) Sawyer and Patricia Norman; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings.
