James E. Taylor, 72, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at Kindred Healthcare of Dayton.
He was born April 24, 1947 in Greenfield, the son of the late Jessie and Daisy (Storer) Taylor.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Hillsboro Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Connie (Smith) Taylor, whom he married June 7, 1980; children, Brian (Melissa) Taylor of Seaman, Melissa (Kevin) Mullins of New Holland and Danielle (Neal) Phillips of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Kayla, Kattie, Brittany, Shelby, Hailey, Driven, James, Joseph, Alexis and William; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Clyde (Violet) Taylor of Greenfield, Joan Jones of Hillsboro and Carey (Carol) Taylor and Jerry (Vaunda) Taylor, both of Greenfield; sister-in-law, Thelma Hilderbrand Taylor of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers; one sister; and both parents.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 at the Hillsboro Church of God with Pastor John Coyle officiating. Family will receive friends from noon until time of the service on Wednesday at the church. The Turner & Son Funeral Home of Hillsboro is serving the family.
