Jacquelyn Elaine Collins, 66, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 3, 2020, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born Dec. 26, 1953 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Floyd Yankey and Mary Jones.
Mrs. Collins was retired from Huhtamaki in New Vienna. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to countless others.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Collins, whom she married Sept. 4, 2004; four children, Steven (Becky) Collins of Lynchburg, Brandon (Rubin) Dunn of Los Angeles, Calif., Kevin (Randi) Dunn of Greendale, Ind. and Melinda (Howard) Creighton of Los Angeles, Calif.; eight grandchildren; siblings, Terry (Helen) Yankey of Grayson, Ky., Tom (Jeanette) Yankey of Hillsboro, Jeff Yankey of Lynchburg and Tonya (Chuck) Spaeth of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery with a private family service Friday, Sept. 11, 2020 by invitation only. The family requests others find a personal, special way to celebrate the life of their beloved Jackie as she touched so many during her time here with them.
