Jack Dale Fox, 90, passed away from natural causes June 17, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, with his loving family around him.

Jack was born in Miamisburg on Sept. 5, 1930 to Heber Fox and Catherine Fox (née Derr).

Jack was a dedicated farmer his entire life. He first farmed with his father, Heber, on the Fox family farm in Miamisburg until the age of 38, when he purchased his own farm in New Vienna in 1968. Jack resided and farmed on his beloved New Vienna farm to his very passing.

Jack also served his country, stateside, in Hermosa Beach, Calif. in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Jack met the love of his life, Janet Fox (née Wilhoit) in 1951, and they married in Middletown on June 26, 1953. Jack always said that with Janet, it was love at first sight. Their 68 years of marriage together are a true example of their enduring love. Janet was by Jack’s side creating a home for them and their family first in Miamisburg, then in New Vienna, as well as in Hermosa Beach, Calif., when Jack was in the Army.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Fox (née Wilhoit); his loving children, Mike Fox and Kathy Fox (née Frinack), Scott Fox and Cathy Fox (née Dean), Steven Fox and Brian Fox- Krawczyk, Kelly Fox Cooper, Shelly Boggs (née Fox) and Chuck Boggs; his adoring grandchildren, Tracy Mongold (née Fox) and Ashley Mongold, Michael Fox and Jessica Fox (née Gearing), Jacob Fox and Brooke Fox (née Aills), Jason Fox and Kelsey Fox (née Satterfield), Adam Boggs and Rebecca Boggs (née Leigh); his nine cherished great-grandchildren; and many loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved parents Heber Fox and Catherine Fox (née Derr); his dear sister Betty Zech (née Fox) and brother-in-law Bob Zech; his cherished granddaughter Ashley Fizer (née Boggs); his friend and son-in-law Chic York; and his loving son-in-law Mike Cooper.

A time of remembrance and celebration of the life of Jack Dale Fox is scheduled for Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Clinton-Highland Joint Fire Station, or the New Vienna Fire Station Community Room. The celebration will take place from 2-5 p.m. The Fox family invites everyone to come and share the day celebrating the life of Jack.
