Hazel P. Harmon, 94, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her home.

She was born Oct. 6, 1923 in Grange City, Ky., the daughter of the late John and Emma McKee Colville.

Mrs. Harmon had worked alongside her husband on the farm for many years and had also worked in custodial care for Highland County building maintenance. In retirement, she decided to work at the Webster Elementary School in the cafeteria and helped in the harvest season at Sellers Orchard in Marshall.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah (David) McCollum of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Devin, Dustin, Isabella, Andrew and Kylee McCollum, Buddy Ray (Heather) Harmon and Todd (Krissy) Harmon; three great-grandchildren, Bailee, Abby and Meladie Harmon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

On Nov. 23, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ray “Bud” Harmon. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alvin R. “Buddy” Harmon; three brothers, Demaree Colville, Sterling “Dick” Colville and Raymond Colville; and three sisters, Isabelle Shelton, Roxie Gregory and Hattie Davis.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Pastor Tom Zile will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
