Harold “Joe” Cordy, 68, of Blanchester, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati.  
 
 He was born July 5, 1952 in Fayetteville, the son of the late Robert Cordy and Mary Rita Maher Cordy.
 
Joe was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
 
Surviving are his wife, Connie Cordy, whom he married Aug. 28, 1982; two sons, Joseph Cordy and Russell Cordy; four grandchildren, Kirstin, Wesley, Trinity and Mary; two sisters, Betty Hall and Rita Willis; two brothers, George Cordy and Arthur Cordy; and many nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by seven sisters, Rose Firman, Anna Glass, Patricia Cordy, Mary Brown, Clara Rainey, Roberta Tucker and Theresa Firman; and two brothers, Charles E. Cordy and Robert Cordy.
 
The funeral mass will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Interment will follow in the New Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William.
 
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 from 10-10:45 a.m.
 
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
