Harley W. Hicks, 92, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Chillicothe V.A. Community Care Center.
 
He was born Dec. 10, 1927 in Washington C.H., the son of John and Louise (Coboard) Hicks.
 
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW Post and American Legion. He was retired from Bill Marine Ford in Washington C.H., where he served as a mechanic for 30 years, and previous to this, he drove a milk truck. Most recently, he enjoyed wheeling and dealing at numerous flea markets.
 
He is survived by his wife, Eulah (Welch) Hicks; four stepchildren, Evelyn (Gene) Schlauch, Billy Welch, Sharon Lute and Wilma (Jerry) Jones all of Manchester; daughter-in-law, Deborah (Conklin) Hicks of Leesburg; numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia (Hodge) Hicks, on Dec. 2, 1983; two sons, Jeri and Mike Hicks; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Raymond Grove; one brother, Charles Hicks; and both parents.
 
A private graveside service will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery with Pastor Greg Roberts officiating and military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
 
There will not be a visitation observed.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
