Hans Philip Hacker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hans Philip Hacker, a beloved father, son, brother and friend.

Hans was born on May 14, 1968, in Columbus and spent his life embracing the simple joys around him, particularly his deep affection for animals and his cherished moments by the lake.

A strong and spirited individual, Hans earned his third-degree black belt, showcasing his commitment to discipline and perseverance. This accomplishment served as a testament to his character and determination, traits that inspired those around him.

Hans's dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Judy) Hacker; a daughter, Kaitlyn Hacker; brothers, Kevin (Carol) Hacker and Hans (Becky) Maryak; sisters, Kim (Randy) Hall and Annie (Eric) Button; and family friend, Bryan Goloyd, who remains grateful for the countless lessons and loving memories they shared.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hans Hacker; and grandparents, Charles and Dolores Judy and Hans and Hannah Hacker.

A celebration of life will be held from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at the Northview Baptist Church.

Thompson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.

As we remember Hans, let us carry forward the values he embodied – kindness, dedication and a love for the wonders of life. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
