Grover Annon Jr., 78, of Good Hope, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at his home.
He was born May 23, 1943 in Ross County, the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Martha A. (Paugh) Annon.
Grover never met a stranger, and he was a lover of life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Greenfield. Grover was a past member of the Eagles of Greenfield and the Moose Lodge of Chillicothe.
Grover is survived by the love of his life, wife Beverly (Smith) Annon; three sons, Gary Annon, Mike (Kelly) Annon and Paul (Tonya) Annon; two daughters, Shannon Sims and Jennifer Watson; 11 grandchildren, and he was exceptionally close with Ivy, Victoria and Willow; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Etta Combs, Thelma Hausmann and Judy Meister; close friends, John and Angie Shoemaker; his karaoke friends; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Little Bit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Roberta Hicks and Mary Ann Penrod; sister-in-law, Donna Mull; and brother-in-law, Robert Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Speaker John Shoemaker officiating. Following the service, Grover will be laid to rest in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
