Glenna M. Smith, 85, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Adena Greenfield Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born July 4, 1933 in New Petersburg, the daughter of Arthur and Joyce (Harris) Stratton.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Greenfield. She was a homemaker and loved crocheting, spending time with her family and watching “M.A.S.H.” and “Riflemen.”
She is survived by one son, Steve Stratton of Lake City, Fla.; four daughters, Diana Barger, Terry (Randy) Shaw, Ronda Bryan and Charlene (Ron) Sterling, all of Greenfield; three granddaughters, Ginny Barger, Chelsey Sterling and Emily Sterling; two step-grandsons, Brandon and Benjamin Shaw; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Blue of Brandon, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Smith, on Aug. 31, 1994; one brother, Billy Stratton; one son-in-law, Charlie Barger; a set of stillborn twins; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home.
