Glenna Dean Walker, 72, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Miami Valley Hospital.
She was born June 13, 1948 in Tazewell County, Va., the daughter of Parker and Minnie Elizabeth (Puckett) Herndon.
She had attended the Anchor Baptist Church in Hillsboro. She was a caregiver and had worked at Great Scot Community Market and the IGA in Lynchburg for several years.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy McMullen of Dayton and Julie (Robert) Ellis of Centerville; three grandchildren, Derek (Dakota) Cloud of Centerville, Luke McMullen of Dayton and Brooke Hardman of Centerville; a sister, JoAnn Fremder of Dayton; two nieces, Lisa (Ted) Mahan and Joanna (Tom) Mahan both of Hillsboro; and a nephew, Gary Lee (Lisa) Drake of Blanchester.
She was preceded in death by her father, Parker Herndon; her mother, Minnie Elizabeth Rose; her special father, Marvin Rose; and a sister and brother-in-law, Lois Faye and Gary Drake.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 16 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Bob Wickline will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
