Gary Lee Harp, 81, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 at Bethesda North Hospital.

He was born Nov. 10, 1940 in Dayton, the son of the late Richard and Thelma (Roush) Harp.

He was a member of Allensburg Church of Christ and the Lynchburg Masonic Lodge #178. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962 and was retired from Cincinnati Milacron after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Hoggatt) Harp, whom he married June 9, 1962; three sons, Mark (Lora) Harp of Kings Mills, Michael (Pam) Harp of Marshall and Matthew (Helen) Harp of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Darren, Kaleb, Kirsten, Kyle Harp and Kevin Young; and one brother, David (Pauletta) Harp of Wilmington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Allensburg Church of Christ with Bob Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery with military rites to be accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday at the church with Masonic services to begin at 12:45 p.m.
