Gary K. “KG” Howard

Gary K. “KG” Howard, 76, of Hillsboro, passed away July 17, 2026 at the Chillicothe VA. 

He was born Feb. 15, 1950 in Adams County, the son of the late Troy and Lucille (Loop) Howard. 

KG proudly served is country in the United States Army. He attended House of Prayer and enjoyed participating in activities at the Highland County Senior Center.

KG is survived by his daughter, Daphne (Doug) Carson of Greenfield; grandson, Braxton Carson; sisters, Shirley McGlone and Louise (Carl) Porter; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Linda Howland. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Virgil Howard and Ronnie Howard. 

Visitation for KG will be held on Wednesday, July 22 from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
