Gale L. Hayslip, 74, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.
He was born Nov. 10, 1947 in Clarksville, the son of the late Clarence R. and Lucy McGeorge Hayslip.
Gale was an avid outdoorsman who loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. He was a hard worker and had mastered many skills over the years. He retired from Wisco Products after 40 years of service as a welder.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Linda Hayslip of Wilmington; two daughters, Angela (Steve) Roberts and Cindy (Bruce) Duff; grandchildren, Ashley (Zachary Greene) Hieatt, Monica (Joseph) Ward, Brittany Vanhoosier and Hannah Roberts; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Dalton, Lillian, Parker, Layla, Nathan, Adrian, Rowan, Collin, Raiden and Abigale; siblings, Ruby (Ron) Pfeiffer, June (Ed) Davis, May (J.C.) Holman, Goldie (Tom) Lawson, Linda (Paul) Schneider, Roger Hayslip, Rocky Hayslip, Randy Hayslip, Pam (Danny) Warfield, Darrel Hayslip and Carol Kirby; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gale was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Russel (Joan) Hayslip and Ray (Joyce) Hayslip.
Graveside services will be held Jan. 25, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Clarksville Cemetery with Terry Rose Jr. officiating. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
