Gail Ann Hollen-Smith, 60, of Sardinia, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Mariemont on May 28, 1955, the daughter of the late James “J.R.” and Mary Lou (Reeves) Fath, Sr.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James R. Fath, Jr.; nephew, Joseph B. Fath; and stepbrother, Jeff Huber.
Gail worked at GE in the credit card service department and was a babysitter for many children.
Gail is survived by her husband, Roger Smith, Jr., whom she married on Aug. 16, 2014; son, John G. (Crystann) Hollen of West Virginia; three daughers, Amy L. (Mike Miller) Hollen of Hillsboro, Amanda (Tim) Hall of Hillsboro and Yvonne Schade of Germany; one brother, Joseph B. Fath, III of Mowrystown; sister, Bonnie Lou Fath of North Carolina; stepsister, Sheri (Gary) Bryant of Milford; six grandchildren, Marissa Ann Hollen, Megan Leatherwood, Macy Leatherwood, Madisyn Hollen, Abigail Hall and John Matthew Bell; stepfather, Roger Huber of Mt. Orab; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, host of friends and a special friend, of 52 years, Merri Kay Adkins.
Catholic Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Holy Ghost Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
