Fannie Kay "Katie" Heizer

Fannie Kay “Katie” Heizer, 62, of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday July 21, 2015 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Highland County on Jan. 2, 1953, the daughter of the late Leslie Ison and Berchie (Perkins) Ison of Bainbridge.
Besides her father, she was also preceded by her sister, Janece L. Mustard.
Katie was a 1972 graduate of McClain High School. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ and the New Vienna United Methodist Church. She was a well-known crafter who did ceramics, candle making and sewing.
Besides her mother, Fannie is survived by her husband, Michael Heizer, whom she married on March 17, 1974; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jarod and Amber Heizer of Hillsboro and Brad and Crystal Heizer of Leesburg; two sisters, Jeanetta (Bill) Cox of Winchester and Patricia (Greg) Bell of Winchester, Ky.; six grandchildren, Skylar (Kendra) Mills, Peyton Heizer, Braden Heizer, Ryan Heizer, Katelin Heizer and Kylie Heizer; and one great-grandson, Nolan Mills.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with John Porter officiating.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
