Everett Isaac "Tink" Burns Jr., 61, of Wilmington, died 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born Feb. 3, 1957 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Shelby J. and Everett Burns Sr.
He was employed with the state of Ohio in his early years and recently was a self-employed painter. Tink enjoyed sports and was an avid softball player for many years.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Gloria Jean Burns; two sons, Jeffrey (Marie) Rollins of Chesterfield, Va. and Isaac (Tiffany Miller) Rollins of Wilmington; sisters, Gina (Tony) Burns Greene and Jeanetta (Teeny) Pridemore of Dayton; six grandchildren, Alexander Helen, Kirsten Brianna and Trista Nicole of Chesterfield, Va. and Amyia Brooklyn, Amare Jeffrey and Braxton Lamar of Wilmington; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tink was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Burns.
Services will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at noon with Rev. Byron W. McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
Friends will be received at the church Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. - noon.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
