Etta Jane “Sissy” Mojica, 63, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at home.
She was born July 27, 1958 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Harold Glenn and Jennie Louise (Wallace) Furguson.
Surviving are her two sons, Carlos Mojica of Wilmington and Anthony (Danielle) Mojica of Mason; two daughters, Glenna Mojica of Hillsboro and Glory Mojica of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters-in-law, Lisa Ferguson and Brenda Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenny Ferguson, Jerry Furguson, Robert Dane Ferguson, Danny Ray “Boony” Furguson, Berry Gene Furguson, James Ferguson and infant brothers, Keith and Bruce Furguson.
Celebration of life memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #797, 2541 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington. A special time of remembrance with a balloon release will begin at 5 p.m.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
