Ethel B. Robinett, 84, of Leesburg, formerly of Lenoir City, Tenn., passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.
She spent her life working in food service, enjoying many different positions throughout the industry. She had a true belief of the Baptist faith and a devout love for God. She referred to herself as nature’s child, loving all of God’s creatures both great and small. She derived great pleasure in the blooming flowers, the trees budding, fresh vegetables sprouting, and spending long summer days outdoors on her porch.
Her greatest accomplishment in her life was her children, a proud mother of seven, each was so very special to her.
Ethel was one of nine children of the late Garlie and Bonnie Robinett. She had four brothers and four sisters, all of whom she held dear to her. She considered herself blessed to have her lifelong friend and companion, Gordon “Leon” Stokes and his family, to share her joys of life. She had numerous friends, too many to mention, but to her family she mentioned them all.

Ethel is survived by her two children, Nondus (Richard) Angela Might of Ohio and Patrick Eugene Moore of Tennessee; a sister, Maxine Robinett Johnson of Tennessee; one sister-in-law Erna Robinett of Ohio; two sons-in-law, Dan Mote of Ohio and Harry Heiser of West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Troy Hansel of Ohio, Jennifer (Joe) Zizelman of Ohio, Emily Mote of Ohio, Erin (Greg) Routzahn of Ohio, Amanda (Darryl) Jacks of Ohio, Anthony Heiser of West Virginia and Matthew Heiser of West Virginia; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by five of her children, Laura Louise Stutz, Mary Ellen Mote, Angel Marie Heiser, Anthony Corwin Moore and Deborah Jean Moore; as well as seven of her siblings.
Ethel was full of compassion and always put others before herself. She always remembered to remember everyone. She asks you all to remember her in your own special way and keep her close to your heart especially at Christmas, her favorite holiday of the year. It is her final wish to have no public memorial service and a private and quiet homecoming.
