Eldon Francis Schraw, 90, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Highland District Hospital.
He was born Aug. 1, 1930, near Rainsboro, the son of the late Eldon Hiram and Bertha Street Schraw.
Mr. Schraw, along with his wife, Barbara, owned and operated Pasquale’s Pizza Restaurant in Hillsboro for over 40 years. Eldon was also employed
with his brother in Schraw Brothers Television Sales & Service for many
years.
Eldon was a member of the Highland County Church of Christ and had
served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by four children, Eldon Dale (Karen) Schraw, Gary L. Schraw, Sandra Lowe of Hillsboro and Brenda K. McLaughlin of Portsmouth; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ballein Schraw, on March 5, 2009; one son, Mark Schraw; two sisters, Norma Kelch and Evelyn Vanzant; and two brothers, Vernon and Robert Schraw.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at the Highland County Church of Christ, 6670 U.S. 50 West, Hillsboro. Preacher Karl Klem will officiate. Burial, with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard, will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
