Elaine Kay (Sis Blain) Meister passed away Nov. 8, 2024.

Elaine was born Sept. 5, 1948 in Washington, Ill. to Charlotte (Scheafer) Blain and Eugene Blain.

Elaine was raised in Roanoke, Ill., attending Roanoke Benson High School. She married William Meister on June 22, 1968. They shared two daughters.

Elaine is survived by her three children, Amy Meister of Whiteriver, Ariz., Kimberly (Gearald) Tague of Davenport, Iowa and David (Sarah) Meister of Lynchburg, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her brother, Carl (Caroline) Blain; and two nieces.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Kennel; and many friends and relatives.

Elaine will be laid to rest Nov. 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. at a graveside ceremony at Olio Cemetery in Eureka, Ill. with her parents, as she was always her Dad's girl.
