Effie Sue Fisher, 62, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.

She was born Oct. 19, 1957 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Francis and Marie (Terregrossa) Bussell.

Effie had worked at Wilmington Healthcare, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Lowe’s and Great Clips. Among her many interests and hobbies were baking, crafts, crocheting, reading and computer games. She enjoyed rides around the lake with her husband Harold and trips to Rural King. Family couldn’t go to her house without leaving with a completely full belly. She loved watching hummingbirds from her back porch and enjoyed being with the family pets, Ace, Woody and Dixie.  Effie was a very generous woman, always putting others ahead of herself. She would do without as long as it helped someone else. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Harold W. Fisher; son and daughter-in-law, Neal F. and Elizabeth M. Fisher of Fairfield Township; grandchildren, Andrew N. (Haley) Fisher of Middletown, Meghan D. (TJ) Fisher of Wilmington and Riley Collins, Samantha Collins, Wyatt Collins and Garrett Collins, all of Fairfield Township; sister, Rose M. Perkins of Logansport, Ind.; brother, James A. Bussell of Aurora, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Effie was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda L. Bussell; and four brothers, Neal F. Bussell, Neal A. Bussell, Robert P. Bussell and Francis Bussell.

A celebration of Effie’s life will take place 5-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 at the Wilmington Municipal Building Community Room, 69 N. South Street, Wilmington 45177.

The Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family. For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see the Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
