Edith “Marie” Brodess, 85, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022.

She was born in Belfast on July 27, 1937, the daughter of the late Lewis and Thelma (King) Davis.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Brodess; brothers, Larry, Hugh, Marvin and Ronnie Davis; and a sister, Geneva Sattler.

Marie is survived by her sons, Harold Dean Frump, Tommy Frump and Howard Frump; daughters, Mary A. (Rick) Morgan and Rose (John) Trent; a brother, Emerson Davis; a sister, Lillian Click; grandchildren, Bobby Phillips, Neal (Danielle) Phillips, Cory (Monica) Phillips, Melissa (Kyle) Phillips, Alice (Nick) Tompkins, CJ Morgan, Stephanie (Travis) Collins, Howard (Debra) Frump Jr., Hilary Frump, Dusty (Sarah) Frump, Ricky (Nicky) Frump and Shawna Frump; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
