Edith K. Henss Barnhart
Edith K. Henss Barnhart, 85, of Bainbridge, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.
She was born June 17, 1930 in Frankfurt, Germany, the daughter of the late Maria Bayer Bonneder.
Edith loved sewing and collecting Fenton glass, Depression glass, books and movies.
On Oct. 18, 1948, she married Clifford W. “Bub” Barnhart, who died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011.
She is survived by her children, Shirley (Donnie) Adkins of Bainbridge, Wayne (Debbie) Barnhart of Bainbridge and Eric (Jodi) Barnhart of Randleman, N.C.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and special friends, Pete and Edna Kinzer and Tiny Free Holbert.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Dr. Phillip Malone and Rev. Marland Penwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Edith’s family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
