Doveen Dee Cousineau, 87, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at the Hillspring Nursing Home in Springboro.
She was born April 28, 1930 in Sterling, Mich., the daughter of the late Lawrence D. and Agnes (Wilson) White.
On June 20, 1953, she married Rudolph L. Cousineau, who passed away May 23, 1991.
Rudy and Doveen worked as the campground managers for White's Canoe Livery in Alger, Mich. for many years until they retired and then lived in Lachine, Mich.
Doveen spent many years in Wilmington with Chris and Christine Cousineau and enjoyed boating, camping, traveling, birdwatching and the great outdoors and loved spending time with her family. Many thanks to WELCA of Faith Lutheran Church, Hillspring Nursing Home, Hospice of Dayton and the Clinton County Adult Day Care Center in Wilmington.
She attended Faith Lutheran Church, Wilmington and had been a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Herron, Mich.
Surviving are her sons, Craig (Cindy) Cousineau of Sebastian, Fla. and Christopher (Christine) Cousineau of Wilmington; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Jason) Bultemeier of Toledo, Jeff (Brittany) Cousineau of Centerville, Rachel (Justin) Rahn of Vero Beach, Fla., Tim Cousineau of Vero Beach, Fla. and Andrea (Richard) Anderson, Raytown, Mo.; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doveen was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Smith; and brothers, Don White and David White.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16 at Faith Lutheran Church, 421 East Vine Street at Prairie Avenue, Wilmington with Rev. June Fryman officiating. Everyone is welcome to stay afterwards for the luncheon afterward. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Graveside interment services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 in the Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, Mich. with Pastor Ladd White officiating.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
