Doug Chaney, 60, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
He was born Jan. 7, 1961 in Greenfield, the son of Roger Ernest Chaney and Geraldine Bachelor Chaney.
Doug loved to fish and was a plumber for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Stephanie Chaney, whom he married Jan. 7, 2017; three children, K.C. Chaney, Josh Chaney and Geri (Xavier) Newsome; six grandchildren, Xavier Newsome II, Zuriah Newsome, Amara Chaney, Finnley Chaney, Isaac Chaney and Zander Chaney; father, Roger (Saundra) Ernest Chaney; sister, Chris Casto; three brothers, Tim Chaney, Scott Chaney and Mike Chaney; and several nieces and nephews.
Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Bachelor Chaney.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at noon at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St., Hillsboro, with Pastor Chris Brown officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. - noon.
