Doris J. Kelch

Doris J. Kelch, 87, of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Winkle, Ohio on May 29, 1928, the daughter of the late George S. and Lea Ona (Bennington) Henderson.
Doris worked for several years at Kaufman’s Department Store and later the Foster-Haines Department Store in Hillsboro; Hillsboro City Income Tax; and the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
Doris is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Kelch of Winchester and Daryl (Pam) Kelch of Hillsboro; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl (James) Lyle of Hillsboro; one sister, Marilyn Griffith-Miller of Hillsboro; ten grandchildren, Brent (Jill) Kelch, Ryan (Jonie) Kelch, Nathan (Sarah) Kelch, Kristen Sue Kelch, Kreath Allyson (Jason) Fishback, Kaleb Joshua Kelch, Tracey L. (James Jones) Coss, Derek A. Coss, Joshua (Chrissy) Lyle and Jaime Lyle; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Louis Earl Kelch on Aug. 29, 2000; and one brother, Wendell Gotherman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sugartree Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Maurice Mitchell officiating.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
