Dora N. Douglas, 75, of Washington Court House, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022.
She was born Aug. 29, 1947 in London, Ky., the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Mills) Witt.
Dora worked for Hillsboro High School for over 20 years. She was dedicated to her students and her profession. She loved her granddaughters, sons, stepdaughters and family. Dora was a woman of strong Christian faith. She enjoyed reading and her soap operas.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester; and brother, Charles Denny Witt.
Dora is survived by her sons, Chester (Maranda) Douglas II of Washington Court House and William Baker of Hillsboro; stepdaughters, Debbie Crabtree of Jamestown and Lisa Douglas of Jamestown; and granddaughters, Gillian, Gabrielle and Genesis Douglas and Jessica Hutton.
Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home at 241 E. Main Street, Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery, 11474 Butler Road, Hillsboro.
