Donald W. Bloom, 79, of Winchester, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Heartland of Hillsboro Nursing Center.
He was born March 31, 1942 in Highland County, the son of the late William Francis and Mary (Kirk) Bloom.
Don retired as the warehouse manager for Pepsi Cola Bottling, Hillsboro, after 26 years of service. He enjoyed NASCAR, car shows, mowing and landscaping his yard.
On Nov. 10, 1963 in Sardinia, he married M. Jane Bloom, who passed away on Oct. 14, 2014.
Surviving are his son, Troy (Leslie) Bloom of Winchester; three grandchildren, Melissa Haynes of Brookville, Ky., Michelle Spinkles of Hillsboro and Dawn Sharp of Buford; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary (Clarence) Birchfield of Sardinia, Margaret Frisholz of Georgetown and Karen (Louis) Atwell of Sardinia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 East Main Street, Mowrystown with Don's former neighbor Pastor Chris Gobin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery.
Friends will be received from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown.
