Donald Edward Merritt II, 62, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born Sept. 5, 1959 in Greenfield, the son of Donald Edward and Mary Jane (Bowers) Merritt.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Gragg) Merritt, whom he married Feb. 5, 2000; two daughters, Andrea (Travis) O’Connor of Greenfield and Jenna (Kyle) Shaw of Wilmington; three sons, Jeffrey Brown of Greenfield, Dylan Merritt (Destiny) of Greenfield and Braydon Merritt of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Isaac, Alysa, Harley, Aidan, Mason and Ember; one sister, Tracey Lynn (Rob) Fulton of Orlando, Fla.; two nieces, Bambi Myers and Barbie DiBiase; one nephew, Luke Merritt (Shi), and several other nieces and nephews; and mother, Mary Jane Anderson of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald E. Merritt III; one sister, Barbara Myers; two brothers, Dale Merritt and Billy Merritt; one nephew, Freddie Myers; and father, Donald E. Merritt.
Cremation will take place, and a celebration of his life will be Saturday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. at the VFW Ranch in Greenfield. All friends and family are welcome.
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
