Donald E. Smith, 87 of Seaman, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Don, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, was born in Middletown.
Known as “the honey man,” he was an avid beekeeper. After living many years in Beavercreek, Ohio, he took his passion for raising honeybees with him to Seaman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Vera (Mohn) Smith; his brother, Wilson C. Smith, Jr.; and a son, Aaron B. Smith.
He is survived by his sister, Juanita Hilton; three sons, Barry Smith, Guy Smith and Jedidiah Smith; and numerous extended family, as well as his “son” Bill Elliot and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 14 from 9-11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory,
3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek 45432.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Dayton National Cemetery.
