Donald Dwain Sword

Donald Dwain Sword, 65, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
 
He was born Dec. 5, 1959, in Wilmington, the son of Donald and Margaret (Gray) Sword.
 
Dwain was a 1979 graduate of Fairfield High School and Laurel Oaks.
 
His career consisted of welding/fabricating, and he was a heavy equipment mechanic.
 
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Satterfield) Sword, whom he married on June 2, 1979; one daughter, Megan (Luke) Wilder of Knoxville, Tenn.; one son, Justin (KC) Sword of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Emma and Owen Wilder and Caleb Sword; two sisters, Nancy (Chris) Rowland of Greenfield and Charlotte Palmer (Curtis Carman) of Greenfield; one brother, Marvin Sword of Greenfield; two brothers-in-law, Michael Clouser of Kentucky and Jeff (Sherry) Satterfield of Rainsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two special friends, Cleve Bartley and Rod Hilderbrand. 
 
He was preceded in death by both parents.
 
Cremation will take place and there will be a memorial service held at a later date.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
