DeEtta Jean Neel, 65, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering.
She was born March 8, 1956, in Greenfield, the daughter of Charles Robert and Bertha (Ryan) Neel.
She was a sales manager for Ohio Valley Floral and bingo caller for Hillsboro Eagles and Amvets Post 61. She was a 1975 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School.
She is survived by one son, Sean DeLong; mother, Bertha Neel; five grandchildren, Sean, Paul, Elexis, Wade and Isabelle; one great-grandson, James; nieces and nephews, Kisha (Gerald) Swaney and Heidi (Allen) Hoosier; one brother, Charles Edward Neel; great-nieces and nephews, Taylor (Tim) Ballard, Braydon, Breaunna, Damian, Logan, Jordan, Jenna, Kallie, K.J., Jessabelle, Charlotte, Jackson, Jaceon and Max; and special friends, Michael B. DeLong and Yoneena McKenzie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Robert Neel; and one nephew, Charles Tyler Neel.
Funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery in South Salem. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
