Deacon Robert E. Meyer, 91, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at Ohio Living Cape May in Wilmington.  
 
He was born Feb. 22, 1933 in Dayton, the son of the late Earl J. Meyer and Bertha Streaker Meyer.
 
Bob was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church. He greatly valued church and community work. Having been ordained on June 25, 1983, he served as a volunteer and chaplain at Clinton Memorial Hospital for many years. A U.S. Navy veteran, he retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. He was a loving and supportive father to his family.
 
Surviving are his loving wife, Barbara A. Meyer, whom he married Oct. 17, 1964; two daughters, Michele (Victor) LoBiondo and Christina (James) Kilgore; and two grandsons, Christian and Cameron.
 
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Richard Meyer.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at St. Columbkille Catholic Church on Friday, Feb. 7 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Mannebach as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, where the Wilmington American Legion Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
 
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, located at 97 West Locust Street Wilmington, on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 5-7 p.m. Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m.
