Danny R. Christy, 84, of Mowrystown, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.
He is now hand in hand with the love of his life, Patricia "Pat" (Louderback) Christy, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2016.
He was born March 30, 1936 in Springfield, the son of the late James Irwin Christy and Gertrude Louise (Rader) Christy.
Danny was retired from Cincinnati Milacron after 41 and a half years of service. He was devoted to his family and loved farming. In 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves and served for six years.
Surviving are his five children, Terry (Debbie) Christy of Hillsboro, Tammy (John) Raines of Buford, Tracey (Craig) Davidson of Hillsboro, Todd (Julie) Christy of Sugartree Ridge and Tim Christy of Sugartree Ridge; eight grandchildren, Christy (Andy) Roberts, Adam (Kassady) Raines, Laura (Josh) Ward, James "J.D" Christy, Michael (Shauna) Davidson, Andrea (Ryan) Geddes, Jessica Christy and Taryn Christy; two step-granddaughters, Kyla and Jada Combs; six great-grandchildren, Shane, Madison, Ryker, Aubrey, Claire and Ruby; his sister, Ann Donnelly; and four sisters-in-law, Barbara (Glen) Bishop, Beverly Gall, Avonelle (Don) Crabtree and Nancy (Jack) Bainter.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family on Saturday at the Edgington Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Book officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, 4-7 p.m.
