Christina L. Burton, 65, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati.

She helped save five lives with her generous organ and tissue donations.

She was born July 9, 1956 in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Delbert Gail and Goldie Lea (Fender) Cornetet.

On June 16, 1973, she married Russell Ervin Burton, who survives.

Christina had owned and operated Impressions Created in Wilmington for over 25 years. A 1974 Lynchburg High School graduate, she was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and the Wilmington Elks Club, where she loved to play golf. Her most joy, though, came from spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, other surviving family members are her daughters, Sasha (Brian) Zavacky of Pittsburgh, Pa., Sheena (Tyler) Henry of Wilmington and Cassie (Jeff) Hibbard of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Justice, Peyton, Addison, Owen, Hudson and Baby Girl; two sisters, Frieda (Don) Wardlow of Mt. Vernon and Gail (Lowell) Graves of Sardinia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Christina's celebration of life services will be held at a later date at the Wilmington Church of Christ. Private family Interment will be in the Clinton County Memory Gardens at the family's convenience.

The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
