Cheryl Denise Blackburn

Cheryl Denise Blackburn, 62, of New Vienna, passed away peacefully Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 22, 1960 in West Union.

Cheryl liked crafting, especially with her grandkids. She also liked gardening, working in the flower beds and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Blackburn; children, David (Julie) Oney of Seaman, Amber Nayta (Matt McCammon) Oney of Sabina and Petey Oney of New Vienna; mother, Mary Deloris Gragg Williams; grandchildren, Julian Oney, Tony Stacy, Shianna Stacy, Braxton Oney, MaHaylee Swayne and CJ Oney; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Smith-Anderson and Willow Grace Oney; and brother, Robert (Paige) Stratton.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her first husband, Pete Howard; father, Peter “Pete” James Williams; and siblings, Ricky Dunn, Ronnie Stratton, Sam Williams and Ted Dunn.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at New Market Cemetery.
