Charles Nelson Vance, 82, formerly of Winchester, passed away of pneumonia on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017.
He was born in Winchester on Jan. 19, 1935.
Charles served in the United States Army from August 1954 to August 1956. He also worked 41 years in the bank equipment business with Gross-Feibel Company and Hamilton Safe Company until he retired in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (King) Vance, whom he married Nov. 13, 1956; two daughters, Pamela Price of Oregonia and Sue Ebbing of Hamilton; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sisters, aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home in Winchester.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at the Wallace-Thompson Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will follow at the Cherry Fork Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
