Charles M. Foster
Charles M. Foster, 90, of Washington C.H., passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his wife, Mary, and family.
He was born May 29, 1933, in Frankfort, a son of the late Frank S. and Elizabeth I. Jenkins Foster.
On July 3, 1956, Charlie married the former Mary Ellen Higginbotham.
Charles was a 1953 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was retired and had worked at the Roco Paper Company, Brown and Brockmeir, Cudahay Cheese and the Colonial Stair Case Company. All four of them closed, and when he started a new job, Charlie would always joke and say, ”you better be nice to me or I will close you.” This was a comment he would make all in good fun. Charlie will be missed by all those he loved.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ellen Foster; his two brothers, Frank L. Foster of Florisant, Colo. and Ernest Foster of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his four sisters, Viola Cast, Cleo Mason, Marie Althouse and Rosalie Borrell.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort with Chaplain Aaron Hines officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m.
