Charles "Chuck" Smith, 79, of Blanchester, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021.
He was born Feb. 16, 1942 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Estie and Hazel (Reveal) Smith.
On July 1, 1960 in Hillsboro, he married Bonnie Lou Moore Smith, who survives.
Chuck had worked as a product shipping manager for Valley Machine Tools in Morrow and was a member of the Daystar Church of God in Blanchester.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his two sons, Henry (Vera) Smith of Lynchburg and Tom (Marie) Smith of Midland; a daughter, Peggy (Jeff) Perkins of New Vienna; grandchildren, Gabby Smith and Kimmy Smith and Laura (Scottie) Turner; stepgrandchildren, Chris Buescher, Heather Buescher, Justin Buescher and Anthony Buescher; sisters, Diane Rayburn and Joann Woolums; and a brother, Jessie Smith.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his son, Cecil Smith; grandson, Dusty Smith; sisters, Jenny Morgan and Betty Hoffer; and brothers, Jim Smith and Dickie Smith.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Wylie Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Westboro Cemetery in Westboro. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 at the funeral home.
