Catherine A. Parks, 85, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 at the Salyer Adult Group Home in Hillsboro.  
 
She was born Sept. 15, 1939 in Beefhide, Ky., the daughter of the late Jeff and Cora (Wright) Addington. 

On Aug. 30, 1957, she was united into marriage to Erroll Parks.
 
Catherine was a member of Mowrystown Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aide.
 
Surviving are loving husband, Erroll Parks; two daughters, Melody Parks Potter and Melinda Parks (Glenn) Kirksey; four grandchildren, Shawn Kerans, Shai Upton, Zacharia Upton and Brelynn Upton; 13 great-grandchildren, Damien Kerans, Arienne Kerans, Eddie Bowen Jr., Jason Bowen, Dairred Bowen, Kurtis Bowen, Nevaeh Bowen, Kyler Chaney, Aaliyah Upton, Branson Upton, Brailey Upton, Abel Smith and Creed Smith; a brother, Robert Addington; and several nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by two brothers, Dewey and Lowell Addington; three sisters, Hazel Laycock, Polly Mae Addington and Irene Roush; and a son-in-law, John Potter.
 
Services will be held at Mowrystown Presbyterian Church, 3 W. Main St. Mowrystown, Monday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Brazelle officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery, Hillsboro.
 
Friends will be received at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 3-6 p.m.  

Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown has been entrusted with the arrangements.
