Caroline Dale Kirkhart, 83, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, in Anderson, S.C.   

Caroline was born July 28, 1941, in Foster, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard Dale and Verna Caroline (Marshall) Rowlands. 

She was the eldest of 10 children. While growing up, she loved horseback riding and caring for animals. She went on to become a loving wife and mother, as well as a seamstress, crafter, and a small business owner. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her children, Tracy (Chris) Grant, Stacy Keplinger, Lanny Kirkhart; grandchildren, Shayla Kirkhart, Jada Keplinger and Selena Kirkhart; six siblings and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Thomas, William and James Rowlands.  

Visitation will be held at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg on Friday, Jan.24 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., when a funeral service will begin. Leo Kuhn will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
