Carol Sue Greene, 57, of Hillsboro, died Thursday morning, Sept. 21, 2017 at her home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1959 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late John Robert and Donna Mahanes Sears.
Mrs. Greene was a retired accountant and was a member of the New Vienna United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church Women.
She is survived by her husband, David Greene, whom she had married on Jan. 12, 1991, four sisters, Lena “Punky” Hess of New Vienna, Elizabeth “Pam” Groves of Washington C.H., Clara “Porky” Sears of New Vienna and Peggy “Peanut” Sears Lyons of New Vienna; her mother-in-law, Sue Turner of Hillsboro; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sisters; and by her grandparents, Mildred and Rex Sears and Jacob and Dottie Mahanes.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the New Vienna United Methodist Church. Pastor John Allen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethel Community Church Cemetery near Sugar Tree Ridge. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the New Vienna United Methodist Church.
