Bruce G. Jackson, 82, of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at his home.
He was born Dec. 26, 1937 in Detroit, Mich., the son of Lawrence and Katherine (Miller) Jackson.
He was retired from Johnson Controls of Greenfield after 34 years of service, and he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Carle Jackson, whom he married June 29, 1987; two daughters, Diane Burchfield and friend, Bob Ayers of Lancaster and Linda Jubela of Kansas; one granddaughter, Amy (Dustin) Gill of Kansas; three great-grandchildren, Brooks, Beckett and Jackson Gill; one stepson, Stephen (P.J.) Allen of Phillipsburg; one step-granddaughter, Ava Allen of Phillipsburg; two favorite dogs, Destiny and Sarah; mother-in-law, Dora Carle Smith of Greenfield; sisters-in-law, Diane (Kenny) Penwell, Mickey (Jim) Fultz, Kathy (Tom) Ackley, Debbie (Phil) Bivens and Kristy Carle; brother-in-law, Randy Carle; and nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to Amanda Jacks of Leesburg and Hospice of Hope of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Jackson; son-in-law, Richard Burchfield; father-in-law, Robert Carle; and both parents.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no services observed. The Turner Funeral Home of Leesburg is serving the family.
