Brian Douglas 'Bear' Raike

Brian Douglas “Bear” Raike, 58, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024 at home.  
 
He was born Sept. 27, 1966, in Greenfield, the son of David Fredrick and Marilyn (Allen) Raike.
 
Brian was a 1985 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. He was an avid sports fan and golfer, of which he was a five-time Club Champion at Buckeye Hills Country Club. He had refereed high school football for 20 years alongside his father. He was a friend to all.
 
He was presently employed at Kenworth Truck Company of Chillicothe and formerly employed at Airborne Express in Wilmington for 22 years.  
 
He is survived by his daughter, Anna Raike of Greenfield; two brothers, David A. (Natalie) Raike of Holualoa, Hawaii and Stephen M. (Sandy) Raike of Waukee, Iowa; brother-in-law, Mark Rea of Washington C.H.; and seven nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Douglas Raike II.; one sister, Lisa Rea; and both parents.
 
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
